In an exciting revelation, Suzuki Motor Corporation, the guiding force behind Maruti Suzuki India, has unveiled the captivating concept version of the fourth-generation Swift at the Japan Mobility Show 2023.
India holds a special place in Suzuki’s heart, and the Swift is an emotion that runs deep for Maruti. This remarkable model has not only etched its name in the hearts of Indian car enthusiasts but has also dominated the market, holding the top spot in H1 FY24 with a remarkable 103,000 units sold. It’s more than just a car; it’s a piece of our hearts on the road.
The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is expected to be launched in India in 2024. There are significant updates to the car, both on the exterior and interior.
The new Swift has a fresh front with an updated grille and redone headlights, which get new boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The bumper has been redesigned and houses new fog lamps.
The side profile of the car looks, more or less, similar to the present model on sale in India. Though the alloy wheels are new. Rest, everything seems to be untouched.

At the rear, the 2024 Swift boasts new LED taillamps. Again, the rear bumper, like the one at the front, has been redone. Even the tailgate has been redesigned. One noticeable thing is the presence of a camera on the grille, tailgate and ORVMs, basically forming part of a 360-degree camera set-up.
The cabin of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 is definitely inspired by the current line-up of the company. The climate control unit and the infotainment system have been borrowed from the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
While the steering wheel maintains its familiar presence, there’s a thrilling addition to the concept showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023 – the introduction of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with conveniently placed controls on the steering wheel. However, we must brace ourselves for the likelihood that the India-specific Swift may not inherit this technological marvel, as its incorporation could lead to a significant price surge, a tough decision to make. The instrument panel, true to its essence, continues to feature an analogue unit.
Excitingly, the Swift concept embraces the comfort of ventilated front seats and a center front armrest. And, here’s the emotional twist – don’t be taken aback if both these delightful features find their way into the Swift 2024 in India. It’s a promising glimpse into the future, where the Swift becomes more than just a car; it evolves into an embodiment of comfort and innovation on the Indian roads.
