It has been reported that “Bad Newz” currently faces no competition at the box office. Films such as Akshay Kumar’s “Sarfira” and Kamal Haasan’s “Indian 2” are experiencing a downturn, characterized by fluctuating audience figures and a brief theatrical run. Similarly, “Kalki 2898 AD,” in its third week, is beginning to witness a decrease in ticket sales.
In the past, “Bad Newz” achieved its highest opening day revenue with “Uri – The Surgical Strike,” a 2019 military drama that grossed Rs 8.20 crore on its opening day and a total of Rs 245.36 crore at the box office.
The recent releases of “Bad Newz” have seen a range of opening day revenues: “Sam Bahadur” (2023) opened at Rs 5.75 crore, “The Great Indian Family” (2023) had its first Friday release with an opening of Rs 1 crore, and “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke” (2023) grossed Rs 5.49 crore on its release day.
