Exciting News from KTM! The 2024 KTM 790 Duke Unveiled Worldwide!
Get ready to be wowed, as the 2024 model year is here with two stunning new color options: a sleek and stylish grey and a vibrant, eye-catching orange. And that’s not all – both of these beauties come adorned with refreshed graphics on the fuel tank and rear panel, adding an extra layer of allure to your ride.
But here’s the twist – in the mechanical department, KTM has decided to leave this motorcycle’s pure, unadulterated power untouched, ensuring that the heart and soul of the 790 Duke remain as thrilling as ever!
At the heart of the 790 Duke, you’ll find the LC8c, a 799cc parallel-twin engine, a true powerhouse that roars with around 103 bhp and delivers a thrilling 87Nm of peak torque. This engine isn’t just the heart of the bike; it’s also its backbone, integrated into a chromium molybdenum steel frame that joins hands with the aluminum sub-frame for a truly remarkable ride.

When it comes to suspension, the 43mm USD forks and the responsive monoshock are nothing short of legendary, both proudly bearing the WP Apex brand and offering adjustability that caters to your unique riding style. And stopping this beast in its tracks are the trusty 300mm front disc and the reliable 240mm rear unit, working together with dual-channel ABS for ultimate braking control. To ensure a smooth and confident grip on the road, the 17-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in Maxxis Supermaxx ST tires.
But that’s not all! In true KTM fashion, the 790 Duke comes loaded with a wealth of electronics. Choose from four distinct riding modes – street, sport, track, and rain – each altering the intervention of riding aids like traction control, wheelie control, and ABS to suit your mood and conditions. And don’t forget the dazzling color TFT console that not only displays a treasure trove of information but also transforms its theme in Track mode and offers seamless Bluetooth connectivity.
For those concerned about the perfect fit, the standard seat height stands at a comfortable 825mm, but you can easily lower it to 805mm by opting for the accessory lower seat.
While the 790 Duke briefly graced the roads of India for a few memorable months, it sadly bid adieu towards the end of 2020 and never returned. Looking ahead, if KTM India decides to reintroduce a bigger Duke, it’s more likely to be the modern and feature-packed 890 Duke, or perhaps even the eagerly anticipated 990 Duke currently in the works. The future of KTM’s mighty Dukes is a thrilling prospect for all enthusiasts.
